§ — MYSOVA Zone · Live music venues, pubs and bars

Hackney

For the area itself, see the Hackney nightlife guide.

1.2× XPMostly live music, pubs, bars

Hackney is one of the app's 17 zones. A clock-in at a venue inside it earns the 1.2× zone multiplier, the same band as Elephant & Castle and South Bank. The multiplier is applied on the server at clock-in, on top of the venue's base XP (25 XP at most venues, 50 or 100 at some that MYSOVA features), your party size and your subscription plan. A clock-in outside every zone earns no zone multiplier.

On the blog: Hackney for a night out: the Overground, the night buses and the Empire

Hackney’s clock-in count appears as the zone fills up.

Hackney’s ring reads 1.2×. Each dot is an open-data venue inside the zone on the web map.

Venues in Hackney

15 venues sit inside the Hackney zone on MYSOVA’s open-data map, so a clock-in at any of them earns Hackney’s 1.2×.

Near Hackney

In the Hackney nightlife guide, but not inside the zone on the open-data map, so no zone multiplier is shown for them.

Inside and near come from each venue’s open-data location, tested against the zone’s boundary from the app. Locations: Overture Maps Foundation (CDLA Permissive 2.0; Foursquare data under Apache 2.0) and the Food Standards Agency (Open Government Licence v3.0). No opening hours are given; check with the venue before you go.

Questions about Hackney

What XP multiplier does Hackney carry?

1.2×, the same band as Elephant & Castle and South Bank. It is applied on the server at clock-in, from the zone your phone's location places you in.

Which Hackney venues earn the zone multiplier?

Only venues inside the Hackney zone. 15 sit inside it on MYSOVA's open-data map, and this page lists them by name. The 5 under Near Hackney are in the Hackney nightlife guide, but 4 sit just outside the zone and 1 is not on the open-data map yet, so this page does not promise them the multiplier.
