§ — THE RECORD

An app that remembers every place you've been out

Short answer

MYSOVA keeps a permanent, verified record of the places you have been out in London: where, when, how long, and who you were there with. Each visit is confirmed by a 75-metre geofence and a dwell clock rather than by you typing it in, across 2,400+ active venues and 17 areas. Private by default. Free on the App Store.

What gets recorded, and how it is verified

A visit is recorded by arriving, not by logging it

Most apps that track the places you have been ask you to remember to check in, which is exactly what nobody does at 01:00. MYSOVA gates a clock-in on a 75-metre geofence and a dwell clock, attributed server-side via the secure_checkin_v2 RPC. Phone only, no QR codes, no paper, no staff workflow. Entries cannot be faked, transferred or undone.

The record, field by field

Venue, area, arrival time, dwell minutes, party context, XP earned, rank progress, reviews submitted, trivia answered, and the people you crossed paths with. All written server-side. None of it client-controlled, which is what makes it worth keeping.

Night Recap — the daily page of the record

An auto-generated end-of-night summary: the route, the areas, the venues, dwell minutes, total XP, crossed paths. Exports as a 1080×1920 Stories card. It is the difference between a log you never open and a record you actually send to someone.

The record earns as it fills

Each entry earns base XP from venue tier (Ghost 25 / Verified 50 / Partner 100 / Marquee 200), multiplied by area, subscription tier and party size. Totals fold into 99 levels across 10 rank tiers, Owlet through Ultimate SOVA. A record of 17 areas visited is also a rank.

Verified history unlocks real perks

Partner venues reward loyal and currently-present members with opt-in perks: queue skip, free entry, table reservations, cloakroom comp, soft drinks, and (where 18+ verified and ASA/CAP-compliant) drink offers. Loyalty is only meaningful if the history behind it is verified, which is the point of the geofence.

Private by default, with a real off switch

Only your friends see your entries, and Phantom Mode — a universal toggle at every tier including Free — hides you from Paths, from Who's Here and from public leaderboards while the private record keeps filling. Encrypted at rest in Supabase (eu-west). Never sold to third parties.

Yours to export and yours to destroy

UK GDPR Article 15 export is supported through the standard data-export flow. Article 17 deletion runs a 30-day soft retention and then an irreversible hash. A record you cannot leave is not a record, it is a lock-in.

Kept for the life of the account

Entries do not expire, roll off, or get archived behind a subscription. Every visit, every Recap, every rank stays attached. Internally this is the night passport — a nightlife record you actually keep, and the reason the product line is “The Owl Remembers.”

FAQ

Is there an app that tracks the places you have been?
MYSOVA does it for nights out in London. It records a verified entry for each venue you go to — where, when, how long, with whom — across 2,400+ venues and 17 areas, and keeps it for the lifetime of the account. It is deliberately scoped to going out rather than to everywhere you have ever walked.
Does it record where I have been automatically?
No, and that is a design decision rather than a limitation. There is no continuous background location trail. You clock in when you arrive; the app then verifies that arrival against a 75-metre geofence and a dwell clock. Nothing is recorded on a night you do not clock in, which means the record is a set of choices rather than a surveillance log.
Can I see my full history?
Yes. Every clock-in, every receipt and every Night Recap is in your account, read-only once the night has closed. Under UK GDPR Article 15 you can export it through the standard data-export flow; under Article 17 a full erase runs a 30-day soft retention and then an irreversible hash.
Who else can see the places I have been?
By default only your friends. Phantom Mode is a universal toggle on every tier, including Free, and removes you from Paths, from Who's Here lists and from public leaderboards while your private record keeps filling. The data is encrypted at rest in Supabase (eu-west) and is not sold to third parties.
Does it work outside London?
Not yet. MYSOVA is London-only at launch because the product depends on venue density to be worth anything — a live count of who is somewhere is meaningless in a city with four listed venues. Multi-city expansion comes after density is proven in London.
Do I need to buy tickets through it for the visit to count?
No. MYSOVA does not sell tickets and is downstream of them. Buy on DICE, Resident Advisor or the venue's own site; the record here starts when you physically arrive. Both stack: the ticket proves the door, the clock-in proves the night.
